Update: I'm adding a link to Angela's bio page on her website. There is a fascinating video of her creating pieces in her workshop. It's a fabulous glimpse into her talented world.![]()
All seven of my nieces are very talented, as are my two daughters, but three of the nieces make wonderful jewelry. I'd like to show off pieces that each of them have made. I suppose this could be considered a 'brag blog' because I'm really proud of their creative talents and ingenious minds. In this photo, I'm wearing the necklace that was crafted by Angela. You can see necklaces designed by Angela, Belinda and Deborah here...

Angela, my sister Diane's middle daughter, made this reversible copper and gem necklace several years ago. I would say that her trademark style is that most of her pieces can be admired from both sides. Angela studied under a master jeweler to learn the creative tooling and stone-setting techniques. She has created hundreds of impeccable pieces. This one is a dominating beauty. Angela's workshop video
Belinda, my sister Arlene's youngest daughter, makes pieces from diacrylic fused glass. That's a glass technique that resulted from development of products for our astronauts. I wear a lot of neutral colors and love the Southwest, so she individualized this in deep, rich browns with an iridescent turquoise color that veins through it. The pendant is captivating.
Deborah, Arlene's oldest daughter, started making jewelry this spring. She had one class with a master jeweler but uses, basically, a self-taught wire wrap technique. When I traveled home for Mother's Day I saw this pendant and purchased it. Deborah later made the matching earrings. These pieces exhibit lovely craftsmanship and detail. They are beautifully delicate and feminine.
